Just What Are The Exact Reasons Of Bad Breath? Here Is All That You Should Understand!

However unbelievably hot a date is the moment their bad breath hits you, it is over. What are the major bad breath causes and how do we prevent them?

Bad breath or halitosis is caused by an anaerobic bacteria that thrives in our mouth. No one is an exception with regards to these foul-odor creating microbes. These bacteria feeds of protein found in food we eat, dead skin cells from the inside of our mouths as well as the saliva they swim in. The waste products that they produce are sulfur compounds that readily evaporate, that causes offensive odors to people ill-fated enough to get a whiff.

Just so that is the case then why is it that not all have halitosis? The answer is that everyone has, in some way or the other. The fact is it is impossible to totally get rid of these bacteria and their waste permanently. The difference is the level that varies from one person to the other. Someone could have a more bacteria (the bad stinky ones) friendly mouth. This means the conditions in their mouth are suited for more of these bacteria to grow and multiply in. The more of them present the more byproducts they produce and in turn the foul odor is more prominent.

Various kinds of odors can be produced by these bad breath causing germs. There is that which smell like rotting carcasses known as Cadaverine, one that smells like rotten food called Putrescine, or the one which smells like poop called Skatole. With such byproducts who would ever desire to get close to a man or woman with halitosis?

Knowing is half the battle as a cliche would go. Having this knowledge we can determine major bad breath causes:

Poor oral hygiene - if one does not take effort in cleaning the mouth, obviously the conditions in the mouth will preserve more bacteria.

Rotting tooth - this causes a feast for odor causing bacteria. Not only will it supply them with food but also a place where they can hide from the best toothbrush out there.

Gum problems - poor gum health will result in revealed crevices where bacteria can flourish.

These are just some of the basic causes we should know to avoid embarrassment in front of your date, friends or family.

To avoid such awkwardness take action. Clean your teeth after meals at least two minutes every time and at least two times a day. Floss regularly because food can get caught in between teeth. Brush your tongue as well as the rough surface of the tongue can have bacterial build ups. If you have gum problems, look up medical help; it is not sufficient to use mouthwash to solve gum problems.

If all else fails and even if it does not, it is important to consult your dentist. This is the reason why they are there. They are not just there for tooth aches when you were a kid. Be proactive when dealing with major bad breath causes. That is the only way to avoid thwarting encounters.
